This Privacy Policy explains how Volume Control - Home Launcher (the "App"), published by Reclaiming Engineers ("we", "us"), handles information when you use the App on Android.

By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.

📱Information that stays on your device

The App works on your phone. The following is stored only on your device and is never sent to us:

🔊 Volume levelsRead from and written to Android's sound settings.

🎨 PreferencesTheme choice, dock apps, tips you have seen, and whether you rated the App.

🧩 Installed apps listUsed only to show your apps in the launcher and app drawer.

🔍 SearchesSearch text is passed to your browser or search app; we do not store it.

We do not ask for your name, email, contacts, photos, location, or microphone recordings.

📢Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App is free and shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect:

• Your device's advertising ID and other device identifiers
• IP address and approximate location derived from it
• Ad interactions, app usage, and crash or performance data

⚙️ Your choices: where required (for example, in the EEA and UK), the App asks for your consent before showing personalized ads, and you can change it later from Settings → Privacy options. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Settings → Google → Ads (or Privacy → Ads).

🔊 Modify audio settings	To change volume levels and apply the volume boost.
🌙 Do Not Disturb access	Only if you allow it, so ringtone and notification volume can be changed while Do Not Disturb is on.
🔔 Notifications	To show when volume boost is on, with a button to turn it off.
🌐 Internet & network state	To load ads and the consent form.
🗑️ Request app uninstall	So you can uninstall apps from the launcher's app menu. Android always asks you to confirm.
🏠 Default home app	Only if you choose to make the App your home screen. You can switch back at any time in your phone's settings.

🤝Sharing and selling

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share information with anyone except the advertising partner described above, or when required by law.
• Links to Google Play, sharing, and web search open other apps or websites that have their own privacy policies.

🔒Security and retention

Information stored by the App stays on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall it. Data collected by Google for advertising is kept according to Google's policies. Ad traffic is encrypted in transit.

🧒Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us and we will help remove it.

⚖️Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or US state privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, and to opt out of personalized advertising. Because we do not store personal information on our servers, most requests are handled through your device settings and Google's tools linked above. You can always contact us for help.
