Terms & Conditions
The rules for using the App, written to be clear and fair. Please read them, and above all, please drive safely.
Never type, browse or look away from the road while driving. Set up routes, music and settings while parked, or let a passenger do it. Always obey traffic laws, road signs and real road conditions, even if the App shows something different.

🤝1. Accepting these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and {{DEVELOPER_NAME}} ("we", "us") for the Android app Car Play Autu Sync for Android (the "App"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. The Google Play Terms of Service also apply to your use of Google Play.
📱2. What the App is
The App turns your Android phone into a driving dashboard with navigation, music, radio, calls and messages, and adds OBD-II vehicle diagnostics, a garage, a VIN decoder and car-care reminders.
- OBD-II features need a separately purchased ELM327-compatible Bluetooth or Wi-Fi adapter. The data available depends on your vehicle.
- Some features need an internet connection, location access or other permissions you choose to grant.
- Features may change, improve or be removed over time.
🔑3. Your license to use the App
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Android devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in line with these Terms and Google Play's rules. We keep all other rights.
🛑4. Driving safety
- You are solely responsible for driving safely and for following all traffic laws, including laws about using phones and mounted devices while driving.
- Only interact with the App when it is safe and legal to do so. Mount your phone securely where it does not block your view or airbags.
- The App is a convenience tool. It does not replace your attention, judgment, mirrors, instruments or road signs.
🔧5. OBD-II diagnostics
- Diagnostic information (trouble codes, freeze frame and live data) is provided "as is" for general information. It may be incomplete or differ from dealer tools.
- Clearing trouble codes does not repair a fault. It turns off the check engine light and can reset your car's emissions readiness monitors, which may affect an upcoming inspection. Only clear codes after the problem has been fixed.
- Do not use diagnostic features while driving. Use a good-quality adapter, and unplug it if your car behaves unusually.
- The App is not a substitute for a qualified mechanic. Have safety-related problems (brakes, steering, airbags, overheating and similar) checked by a professional.
🤖7. AI Repair assistant
AI Repair (a Premium feature) uses an artificial-intelligence service to suggest possible causes and next steps for car problems. Answers are generated automatically, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and are not professional mechanical, safety or legal advice. Use your own judgment and consult a qualified mechanic before acting on them.
💳8. Premium, subscriptions and refunds
The App is free to download. Premium removes ads and unlocks extra features, such as all dashboard themes, the AI Repair assistant, clearing trouble codes and offline routes. It is offered as a subscription and/or a one-time purchase through Google Play.
- Prices, billing periods and any free trial are shown in the App and in Google Play before you buy. Taxes may apply.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel before the renewal date. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- You can cancel anytime in Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Payments are processed by Google. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy.
- Use Restore purchases in the App to unlock Premium again on a new device signed in to the same Google account.
📢9. Advertising
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or for products or services they promote. Premium users do not see ads.
🌐10. Third-party services and content
The App connects to services and content we don't control, including map, routing, search and weather providers, the U.S. NHTSA VIN database, internet radio stations, Google services, and other music apps installed on your phone. Their own terms apply, they may change or stop working at any time, and we are not responsible for their content or availability. Radio stations and their programs belong to their respective owners. 🚫11. Acceptable use
- Don't use the App in a way that breaks the law, endangers people or distracts you from driving.
- Don't copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the App, except where the law allows it.
- Don't try to bypass Premium, ads or security features, or interfere with the services the App uses.
- Don't use the App to change vehicle systems in ways that are illegal or unsafe.
©️12. Intellectual property and trademarks
The App, its design, artwork and code belong to {{DEVELOPER_NAME}} or its licensors and are protected by law. Information you add in the App (your garage, documents and settings) stays yours and stays on your device. Apple and CarPlay are trademarks of Apple Inc. Android, Android Auto, Google Play and YouTube are trademarks of Google LLC. Other names and brands belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
📄13. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every phone, adapter, vehicle or car display.
⚖️14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, vehicle damage, repair costs, fines, injury or accidents arising from use of, or inability to use, the App, including reliance on diagnostics, navigation, alerts or AI answers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim.
🔚15. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access to the App if you seriously breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) continue after termination. Cancelling a subscription is done in Google Play, as described above.
🏛️16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of {{GOVERNING_LAW}}, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims in your local courts.
📝17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms when the App or the law changes. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using the App after an update, you accept the updated Terms. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest of the Terms still apply.
